The Gallery at Penn College has announced its 16th season of engaging art exhibits for the 2021-22 Academic Year at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Two displays of contemporary art begin the season: Michael Reedy’s “Into the Void,” exploring the timeless topic of the human body through mixed-media works, opens Aug.

This summer, hundreds of visitors took advantage of an outstanding display of fiber-based artwork at The Gallery at Penn College. From June 1 through July 22, “Textiles in Translation” inspired a range of engagement and interaction, in keeping with the gallery’s goal of promoting art appreciation and serving as a cultural asset to the community.

"Because tomorrow begins today," Penn College campuses welcomed scores of high school students for six more Pre-College Programs in recent days.

Suzanne Mayberry wants to connect her high school students with manufacturing. Thanks to Pennsylvania College of Technology, she has more tools to accomplish that goal. Penn College recently hosted a Manufacturing Externship Camp for Mayberry and 16 other secondary school teachers and guidance counselors throughout the state.

An article in the July/August issue of Pennsylvania Angler & Boater features a field trip taken by Rob Cooley's Outdoor Recreation as a Therapeutic Tool course during the spring semester. The class traveled to nearby Rose Valley Lake, accompanied by Lycoming College's director of outdoor learning and education, for an enjoyable and insightful day of kayaking.

An artists’ tour, featuring 18 of the exhibiting artists featured in “Textiles in Translation,” will close the exhibition at The Gallery at Penn College at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 22. The tour is free and open to the public.

The recently revamped Art on Campus website is now live. The Art on Campus collection at Pennsylvania College of Technology – which has tripled since the first online database was created in 2005 – serves to enhance the physical and aesthetic campus environment, and offer opportunities for personal growth, social awareness and cultural diversity.

Penn College's "My Tomorrow" program (June 21-24 and June 28-July 1) opened middle-schoolers' minds to a variety of vocational possibilities through hands-on activities and faculty-led sessions.
