The latest "Bases Loaded" sculpture, a left fielder to be installed near Penn College's main entrance, will be unveiled in a public ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Friday. "Bases Loaded" is a privately funded project featuring individual statues commemorating the history of Little League.

Among the latest additions to the Pennsylvania College of Technology community are new full-time faculty members for the Fall 2019 semester, as provided by the Human Resources Office (all effective Aug. 15).

Pennsylvania College of Technology held its Summer Commencement at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport. Dylan G. Otis, presented with associate degrees in heavy construction equipment technology: technician emphasis and heavy construction equipment technology: operator emphasis, was the student speaker.

An Excellence in Teaching Award was presented to a nursing faculty member during Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Summer 2019 Commencement ceremony. Terri A. Philip G. Berry has been appointed coordinator of matriculation and academic operations for the School of Construction & Design Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Berry previously served as an external records evaluator in the Registrar’s Office at the institution and brings a wealth of matriculation experience to his new role.

The National Science Foundation recently rewarded Pennsylvania College of Technology’s commitment to tomorrow’s cybersecurity workforce by extending a grant for an additional year.

For the Introduction to Human Services course, the content was standard. For Lynaugh H. Bobst, the class discussion on appropriate family dynamics was personal. For her, the topic generated more than copious notes and highlighted text in a book. It led to an awakening. Bobst didn’t finish the course or any of her other classes that semester. Instead, she left school to begin a journey.

A "life celebration" of Veronica M. Muzic, an inspiration to students and colleagues throughout nearly five decades as a faculty member and administrator, was held Saturday in Penn College’s Student & Administrative Services Center.
