On the 52nd annual Earth Day, Pennsylvania College of Technology hailed a phenomenon only slightly younger: the Schneebeli Earth Science Center, home to memories, marvels and the makers of a million tomorrows. Observing the milestone golden anniversary of the Allenwood area campus on a beautiful spring afternoon, attendees reveled in "this special place" known as the ESC.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has granted faculty emeritus status to Dorothy M. “Dottie” Mathers, a professor of nursing who retired in December after 27 years of full-time teaching and 30 years of service overall to the college. Mathers began teaching nursing full time at Penn College in 1994.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors on Thursday approved faculty emeritus status for a longtime nursing faculty member and signed off on minor updates to the college’s bylaws. The board approved Dorothy M. “Dottie” Mathers for faculty emeritus designation.

Penn College will observe "National Denim Day" on Wednesday, when all members of the campus community are encouraged to wear jeans in solidarity and support of sexual violence survivors and to combat victim-blaming.

The talents of 11 graphic design seniors at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be in the spotlight with “Graphic Design 2022,” the annual student portfolio exhibition in The Gallery at Penn College, April 26 through May 6. A reception will be celebrated 4 to 6 p.m. (with remarks at 5 p.m.) on Friday, April 29, in the gallery on the third floor of The Madigan Library.

The “ripple” effect of Skyler R. Graver’s gumption will enhance Pennsylvania College of Technology’s landscape for generations to come. A 200-pound, 9-foot-long motorcycle sculpture accentuates the north end of the campus mall, thanks to Graver and other talented members of the college’s American Welding Society club.
