A sold-out lunch at the Penn College Field House kicked off the second week of the Penn State Coaches Caravan on Tuesday morning. Nittany Lion football coach Bill O'Brien, who is headlining the bus tour on all 12 of its stops, was joined in his local visit by Char Morett, field hockey coach, and Mark Pavlik, coach of the Penn State men's volleyball team.

Tim Russ, a member of the “Star Trek Voyager” cast whose television and film appearances are just part of a three-decade performing-arts career, will be the closing speaker for the second Wildcat Comic Con to be held Sept. 28 at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Russ portrayed Lt. Cmdr. Tuvok, the U.S.S.

For the second year in a row, the Off-Campus Housing Organization, Wildcat Events Board and Penn College's Community Assistants combined two popular campus traditions – the former Vine Avenue block party and the WEBstock festival – to create one huge end-of-semester bash.

Students mired in the anxiety of Finals Prep had two opportunities for respite this past week, one of them a long-running campus tradition and the other a more recent addition to the Penn College stress-relief menu. Now in its 16th year,  Midnight Breakfast was held Thursday night in the Capitol Eatery.

A record crowd of 134 guests attended Sunday's Grand Pastry Buffet, a scrumptious culmination of course work for baking and pastry arts seniors and an acknowledgement by scholarship recipients of the donors who have smoothed their road to a Penn College diploma.

Watson II, assistant dean of integrated studies-programs, addresses the gallery crowd and congratulates the graduating seniors on their talents and hard work.

With blessed sunshine only enhancing the proven charity of the campus community, Penn College's sixth annual Walk-It-Out event raised more than $3,350 (so far) for the American Cancer Society through the K’s for Cancer foundation.
