Two years after it observed its own centennial, Pennsylvania College of Technology will help the Pennsylvania Farm Show celebrate its 100th anniversary in Harrisburg next month. Honoring tradition, Penn College – a national leader in applied technology education – will have a weeklong presence at the nation’s largest indoor agricultural exposition.
Culinary arts faculty and students at Penn College recently created a "Taste of Technology" presentation for visiting high school students, showing – with a dash of science – how a kitchen can be transformed into a chemistry set. "We want to learn about liquid nitrogen and different food products and how to use that in avant-garde cuisine," said Chef Frank M.
Learning looked a lot like play when more than 90 middle school educators from across Pennsylvania – and a few from other states – convened at Pennsylvania College of Technology to sit on the learning end of hands-on lessons that they can take back to school to help engage their students in science, technology, engineering and math topics.

A commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, Dec. 19, for the nearly 260 Pennsylvania College of Technology students who have petitioned to graduate after the Fall 2015 semester. The ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. in the Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
