Pennsylvania College of Technology presented a Mentorship Award to alumnus Jeremy L. Thorne, owner and operator of ThorneCare Landscape Solutions LLC, in Sugarloaf. The award was bestowed upon Thorne by Penn College President Davie Jane Gilmour during the Fall 2017 commencement ceremony, held Dec. 16 at the Community Arts Center, Williamsport.

Inman wrote two of the seven chapters for the Avotek Information Resources-published “Avionics: Instruments and Auxiliary Systems”: Chapter 3, covering Air Traffic Surveillance and Warning, and Chapter 4, focused on Weather and Terrain Awareness Avoidance. Pennsylvania College of Technology hosted about 130 high school students on Dec. 4 as part of the international “Hour of Code” initiative. Hour of Code is a global movement by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org, reaching tens of millions of students in more than 180 countries through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming.
