A noncredit 3-D technology course, starting in October and open to the public, will be offered at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The process of 3-D printing – making solid, three-dimensional objects from a digital computer file – will be taught by Craig A. Miller, an instructor of engineering design technology in the college’s School of Industrial, Computing & Engineering Technologies.

The American Design Drafting Association recently recognized the excellence of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s engineering CAD technology major with industry recertification. “Recertification by the ADDA is a very important credential for our program, and we are proud to have earned it annually since 1997,” said Katherine A. Fifty-two students successfully completed the Certified SolidWorks Associate exam and one student earned Autodesk Inventor Professional certification.

Pennsylvania College of Technology established an agreement that affords graduates of Jamestown Community College the opportunity to enroll at Penn College at the current Pennsylvania in-state rates. Graduates must have earned an associate degree from Jamestown Community College to qualify.

Students earning associate degrees in several majors at Delaware Technical Community College will benefit from recently signed agreements that provide an avenue to a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania College of Technology. The agreements provide students from four Delaware Tech majors with a streamlined transition to junior-level standing in bachelor-degree majors, without duplicating courses.
