An innovator in the industrial software market is continuing its commitment to Pennsylvania College of Technology for the 2026-27 academic year.

The recent efforts of two Pennsylvania College of Technology alumni and the generosity of their employer will impact the next generation of manufacturing and machining students. The duo of Clinton Bettner and Kyle Baker helped facilitate the donation of a die-sinking EDM machine from the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory to the college.

Pennsylvania College of Technology student Brock J. Dunkelberger was awarded a gold medal at the 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, held in Atlanta in June.

The Penn College team didn’t meet its top-10 standard in the endurance race at Baja SAE New York, but their leader returned to campus proud of the students’ resiliency and optimistic about the future.

King, of Howard, takes viewers inside the Design for Manufacturability class, where tomorrow makers explore real-world manufacturing methods like CNC machining, forging, casting, injection molding and additive manufacturing to learn how virtual designs become physical parts.

Over 30 Penn College engineering design technology students recently connected their classroom experience with real-world applications by touring High Steel Structures LLC in Williamsport. The company is a leading steel fabricator of bridge components and heavy building girders.

Although they didn’t achieve their typical top-10 finish, the Pennsylvania College of Technology team performed well at Baja SAE Carolina and is already working toward next season.
