Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Board of Directors on Thursday approved the college’s 2026-30 Strategic Plan, authorized the appointment of the firm to conduct the college’s audit for 2025-26, and approved revisions to a pair of policies.

Pennsylvania College of Technology welcomed Lee Wagner, associate vice president for budget and finance & controller for Penn State, to its Board of Directors.

During the Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors meeting on Feb. 5, President Michael J. Reed recommended and received approval from the Board for the hiring of Kyle A. Smith as Penn College’s vice president for college relations, and showcased presentations on athletics, student success and student advocacy.

During the Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors meeting on Dec.4, the board accepted the Fiscal Year 2025 audited financial statements and authorized a list of banks to serve as depositories of college funds. The board also appointed Kyle A. Smith as interim vice president for college relations and approved the college’s mission, vision and values for 2026-30.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors approved two retired faculty for emeritus status during its Oct. 9 board meeting. Kirk M. Cantor, polymer engineering, and Keith A. Vanderlin, graphic design and art, received this recognition.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors met on Thursday, Oct. 9. Highlights of the meeting included the welcoming of two new members to the Board, and election of officers. The Board also approved two candidates for emeritus status and heard additional updates from Penn College faculty and staff members.

Renata Engel, vice president for Commonwealth Campuses and executive chancellor at Penn State, joined the Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors. Engel was appointed to the Penn College Board by the Corporation for Penn State.

Pennsylvania College of Technology welcomed Shannon Massey, senior vice president of Lycoming Engines, to its Board of Directors. Massey was appointed to the Penn College Board by the Corporation for Penn State. She attended her first board meeting on Oct. 9.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors on Thursday approved the college’s 2025-26 budget and heard a presentation on the activities of the college’s Workforce Development department.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Board of Directors today approved a total budget of $188.4 million for 2025-26, an increase of 0.3% over 2024-25; the college’s approved operating budget is $134.3 million, an increase of 3.75%. Tuition for in-state residents will be $530 per credit, an increase of 2.91% over 2024-25. When tuition is combined with fees – which remain unchanged – the increase is limited to 2.47%.
