The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's volleyball team is coming off one of its best seasons and coach Wes Strayer looks for more good things to come this year. The Wildcats host club teams from Susquehanna and Villanova universities in a triangular match at noon Jan. 30.

State Rep. Garth Everett, R-Muncy, has been appointed to serve on the Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors. Everett is serving his third term in the state House of Representatives as the representative for the 84th legislative district. His appointment to the board was announced by House Speaker Samuel H. Eight students and two Penn College faculty members Curt E. Vander Vere, assistant professor of mathematics, and D. Robert Cooley, assistant professor of anthropology and environmental science, along with Maya Exploration Center instructor Christopher Powell, studied Maya mathematics and culture in Flores, Tikal, Seibal, Yaxha and Lake Peten Itza, Guatemala, from Dec. 28-Jan. 4.

A new four-year major in the fast-growing field of gaming and simulation will be offered at Pennsylvania College of Technology the first public institution in the commonwealth with such an undergraduate degree beginning this fall.
