“Rock away the winter blues” at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s WinterFest from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in the college’s Field House on the main campus in Williamsport. Five members of the Penn College Martial Arts Club traveled to West Chester University on Saturday, performing well in a Shotokan Karate Tournament held by the East Coast Collegiate Karate Union. The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team put together a 2-1 week while the men’s basketball team dropped both of its games and wrestlers saw limited action last week. Women's Basketball Dominating the boards, 72-52, and putting together a strong second half, Penn College turned back Central Penn College, 80-71, in nonconference action at home on Monday.
Frank Calvin Grenoble Sr., a 25-year member of the building construction faculty at Williamsport Technical Institute and Williamsport Area Community College, Penn College’s predecessor institutions, died Wednesday, Jan. 23.
