William Ma, professor of mathematics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, jointly authored a paper that was published recently in an international mathematics journal, Computational Methods and Function Theory. Fifty years ago, Williamsport Technical Institute installed its first computer on the campus that is now Pennsylvania College of Technology, pioneering the early development of computer science education. The first computer had its own small room, which could accommodate about 10 students at a time gaining hands-on experience in the college’s first “data-processing” courses.

Pennsylvania College of Technology basketball teams split at home Saturday against Penn State Wilkes-Barre to conclude their week. Men's Basketball Thirty-nine turnovers were too much to overcome for the Wildcats in a 78-54 nonconference home game Monday against Berkeley (N.J.) College.

A creative collaboration between an Indiana family and a world-renowned architect, perhaps as unprecedented as it was unlikely, is beautifully reflected in the latest exhibition in The Gallery at Penn College. “Frank Lloyd Wright’s Samara: A Mid-Century Dream Home" – an auspicious start to Pennsylvania College of Technology's yearlong centennial celebration – will run through March 29.

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering four basic, short-term computer classes through May. Computer Camp for Adults 55+ (9 a.m. to noon, Feb. 11 and 13 or 9 a.m. to noon, April 3 and 10) is a fun course that introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes.
