Jarrett, a successful businessman, community volunteer and alumnus of Pennsylvania College of Technology predecessor institution Williamsport Area Community College, received an Alumni of the Year Award at the 14th annual Education Celebration hosted by the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce.
The Robert & Maureen Dunham Children’s Learning Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology received a $500 grant to enhance activities and lessons that teach children about healthy lifestyles. “We will be using the grant to update our nutrition and physical activity policies and practices to reflect current research about best practices for young children,” said Barbara J.

Pennsylvania College of Technology will provide $15,000 in ShaleNET scholarships to veterans, unemployed and underemployed residents of Bradford County. The scholarships are made possible by Act 13 funding – fees levied on each gas well drilled in the Marcellus Shale formation – recently approved by the Bradford County Commissioners.
The School of Business & Hospitality welcomed three guests during the latest edition of its Visiting Chef Series last week. Brian McClure, beverage director of The Greenbriar, a luxury resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, worked with the school’s faculty to develop a menu that exemplified how wine can be paired with foods that are salty, sweet, sour, bitter or umami.
