For the second straight season, men's soccer teams from Pennsylvania College of Technology and Penn State York will square off for the Penn State University Athletic Conference championship. The match is set for 6 p.m. Saturday at Jeffrey Field on Penn State's main campus.
On Thursday, a group of students from Tsuyama National Technical College in Tsuyama, Japan, toured Penn College's School of Natural Resources Management. The tour was part of a weeklong student exchange program organized by Penn College's International Programs Office and physics instructor Joseph E. LeBlanc.
Sharon G. Auker has been appointed director of nursing at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Auker, an associate professor of medical/surgical nursing at the college, will assume her new duties on Jan. 12. As a full-time faculty member in Penn College's nursing program for 12 years, Auker has taught bachelor- and associate-level nursing courses.
Already enjoying its best season since 2004, when it went unbeaten and won a conference championship, the Pennsylvania College of Technology tennis team is poised for more this year. The Wildcats, 10-2 during the regular season, go into this weekend's Penn State University Athletic Conference championships as a favorite along with Penn State York, according to first-year coach Aimee Plastow.
