Nearly 250 people attended the opening reception for “100 Miles: The 2026 Regional Juried Exhibition” at The Gallery at Penn College. The work celebrates the diversity and quality of art created by emerging, early-career and established artists living within a 100-mile radius of Penn College.
The artwork was selected by ransome, a retired Syracuse University fine arts professor, who reviewed submissions from 207 artists.
“The Gallery at Penn College is a committed and vibrant partner in the local arts community and is proud to feature talented artists from our region,” said Penny G. Lutz, gallery director. “The work on display will inspire visitors, and we encourage e the community to plan time to explore this fantastic exhibition this summer.”
Several artists received awards during the reception:

- Second place: Ron Beach, “Long Forgotten”
- Third place: Michael E. Hockenbury, “Uncontrollable Outcome”

The Gallery at Penn College is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. It is closed on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.
