Pennsylvania College of Technology is among 357 institutions nationwide recognized in the Military Times’ 2025 Best for Vets: Colleges rankings.

The selections are based on data collected from an extensive survey sent to colleges and universities throughout the country. Institutions are evaluated on academic quality, student support services, affordability and outcomes for veterans, including graduation and retention rates.

“We make it a priority at Penn College to support our veteran students, their families and dependents,” said Chet Beaver, assistant director of student advocacy for veteran and military resources. “Being on the Best for Vets list is a testament to the dedication of college staff, faculty and administration in their effort to help our veteran students achieve their educational goals.”

For Fall 2025, there are 95 veterans, 63 currently serving military and 126 military dependents enrolled at Penn College.

Services and benefits available to military and veterans include a designated point of contact for counseling needs and career services, a separate student processing procedure with assistance from veterans, in-state tuition cost, waiver of tuition deposit, outreach program for veteran-student families, reduced fees at the Robert & Maureen Dunham Children’s Learning Center, and a central location to gather, collaborate and study: the Major General Fred F. Marty Veterans & Military Resource Center.

Additionally, Penn College’s Army ROTC program enables students to prepare for military service as commissioned officers in the active U.S. Army or part time in the Army Reserve or Army National Guard.

For the past two years, Penn College has been ranked No. 1 for veteran students in the Regional Colleges (North) classification by U.S. News & World Report.
