Penn College’s Field House is a hub of opportunity as 41 student organizations and 15 employers invite students’ interest.

Nearly 350 students ventured to the recent Club & Part-Time Job Fair, where 41 student organizations and 15 local employers greeted them with a wealth of opportunities beyond the classroom.

“It was great to see so many connections being made and students enjoying themselves!” said Mallory L. Weymer, director of student engagement.

The early-September event was hosted in the Field House by the college’s Student Engagement and Career Services offices to help students meet with peers and potential employers.

“Students gained access to flexible, resume-building jobs that fit around their class schedules,” said Shelley L. Moore, senior director of the college’s Center for Career Design. “Local businesses benefited from meeting motivated student workers ready to contribute while in the area.”

They also learned how fellow tomorrow makers are pursuing a wide variety of passions on campus: From motorsports to music makers, and chess matches to robot battles, Penn College’s student organizations offer many means to get involved.

Members of Penn College Benefitting THON encourage involvement. The organization raises funds and awareness to fight pediatric cancer through events and student involvement – including at THON Weekend, the 46-hour Penn State Dance Marathon.

Students of the Penn College Motorsports Association engage visitors. PCMA's activities are for all students interested in all types of motorsports and include track days, autocross, the Green Grand Prix, and more.
