Students at Pennsylvania College of Technology are off to an exciting start for the 2025-2026 school year. From move-in day and Welcome Week to the first day of classes, the Penn College campuses are in full swing, with on-campus, off-campus and commuter students enjoying activities that aim to prepare, engage and excite.
Things kicked off with new student check-in, move-in and campus-wide bingo on Aug. 13. Welcome Week sessions began Aug. 14 with a series of required and elective sessions covering topics like “Building Math Communities,” “Campus Wellness and Safety,” “Online Resources” and a “find your class” tour. Students officially became Wildcats during the Wildcat Welcome held Friday evening on the UPMC Field before enjoying a street festival at Rose Street Commons. Saturday’s Splashapalooza offered summer fun with inflatable slides, water fights, and slip-and-slide kickball before the official start of classes on Monday morning.

Summer nights would not be complete without a cornhole tournament, and the Friday night Penn College Wildcat Welcome block party at Rose Street Commons was no exception. This high-energy, carnival-themed event includes treats, music, games and a variety of entertainment options to help students connect with the campus community in a fun, informal setting.
