Penn College names dean of business, arts and sciences

Pennsylvania College of Technology has appointed Chenchen Huang dean of the School of Business, Arts & Sciences.

Huang, who has more than 15 years’ experience in higher education, comes to Penn College from Frostburg State University, where he was an assistant professor and chairperson of the accounting department.

He previously had been accounting program director and associate professor at Carlow University. At State University of New York at Buffalo, Huang was associate professor of accounting and chairperson and associate professor of hospitality. He began his academic career as an assistant professor of hospitality management at Lynn University.

A certified public accountant, Huang has also been an internal auditor and staff liaison for Shanghai China International Travel Service Co., a tax accountant for Kuhleman Kollar & Associates CPAs and founder of his own firm, Chenchen Huang CPA.

Huang has authored or co-authored more than 20 refereed journal articles.

He holds a doctorate in health and human performance from University of Florida, where he also completed a post-doctoral bridge to business (finance & accounting) program. He holds a Master of Business Administration with a certificate in business analytics from Robert Morris University, and Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in tourism management from Fudan University, where he minored in accounting.

Penn College’s School of Business, Arts & Sciences offers academic majors in accounting and business administration, baking and culinary, brewing and fermentation science, emergency management and homeland security, graphic design and art, human services and restorative justice, and individualized programs of study.
