Laughter filled the Klump Academic Center Auditorium as the cast and crew of Penn College Theatrics brought to life "The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong."
With a blend of slapstick humor, missteps and mayhem, the production ran for three performances on a late November weekend.
"This comedic masterpiece captivated audiences with its hilariously chaotic plot and lively performances, earning great attendance across all three showings," reported cast member Katheryn Juarez, an industrial design student. "The energy from the audience made it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved. We want to thank all who supported the arts and joined us!"
The play was directed by Mary B. Herndon, industrial design, and Kyle M. Venarchick, architecture, with industrial design student Kayla E. Maahs serving as stage manager. In addition to Juarez, the cast featured: Megan R. Adams, industrial design; Aiden M. Barker, aviation maintenance technology; Matthew B. Deane, mechatronics technology; Arcadia Durant, individual studies; Leslie Escamilla-Ambrosio, information assurance & cyber security; Olivia D. Magann, business administration; and Steven R. Penley, baking & pastry arts.
Penn College Theatrics' next production and audition dates will be announced in January.
The play, written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, tells the tale of accident-prone thespians.
Fans begin to gather for the show in the college's auditorium.
