The Rotational Molding Center of Excellence (RMCE) at Penn College was established in 2000 by the College's Plastics Innovation & Resource Center (PIRC), with assistance and guidance from the College, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, and many supporting local companies.

The Rotational Molding Center of Excellence is now one of the finest technology centers of its kind in North America. The Center is an active participant in national organizations like the Association of Rotomolders (ARM) and the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE).
