Apprentices throughout the nation can enhance their career potential by completing a new degree at Pennsylvania College of Technology that augments their technical expertise. To be offered in Fall 2022, the apprenticeship technology major at Penn College leads to an associate degree for those who have completed a registered apprenticeship program or are currently enrolled in one.

WELLSBORO, Pa. – Excellent career opportunities for licensed practical nurses exist in area hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, personal care facilities and human service organizations. Penn College at Wellsboro’s Practical Nursing Program will host an information session at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, for those interested in nursing as a career.

WELLSBORO – Twenty-four students recently graduated from Penn College at Wellsboro’s practical nursing program. The ceremony was held in the Deane Center for the Performing Arts; graduates processed in the Coolidge Theatre, then received family and friends outside of the facility. The evening marked commencement for two full-time cohorts: Wellsboro and Coudersport.

An Emergency Medical Technician course, beginning the week of Jan. 10 and running through early May, will be offered at three locations by Workforce Development at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

A 64-hour Lean Six Sigma Green Belt apprenticeship program will be offered this fall through Workforce Development at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Participants will learn breakthrough process-improvement solutions using the Lean Six Sigma tool set and its five-phase DMAIC problem-solving methodology: define, measure, analyze, improve, control.
