The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's volleyball team closed out its season in grand fashion Saturday, winning all six of its matches and claiming its second-straight Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference championship.
Despite a late run in its Powder Puff Football game against on-campus opponents, a team of female off-campus students came up short and lost the inaugural battle by a 16-14 score Sunday night. According to a recap by Jeremy Bottorf, Field House/Fitness Center assistant, the game started with the on-campus team driving down field and scoring first for an early 7-0 lead.
The biggest weekend of the spring season is on tap for four Pennsylvania College of Technology sports teams, and two of the teams will have a home-field advantage. In baseball, the Wildcats of coach Rees Daneker host the four-team, double-elimination Penn State University Athletic Conference West Division playoffs at Bowman Field on Saturday and Sunday.

Penn College went 5-1 in the Middle Atlantic Collegiate Volleyball Club League championships Saturday, losing only to season-long nemesis Messiah in three games in the championship match. During pool play, the Wildcats beat host Haverford, 25-16, 25-19; Kutztown, 27-25, 25-15; and Penn State Abington, 25-16, 25-17.

The Penn College Ultimate Frisbee team hosted its first home tournament Saturday. Nine teams competed in the event, including college teams from Rochester Institute of Technology, Alfred University (New York), Lycoming College, Lock Haven University, East Stroudsburg University, Temple University, Loyola College (Baltimore) and Penn College; and a club team from Harrisburg named Fission.
This season, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's volleyball team stepped up its level of competition and, on Saturday, it gets a chance to show just how good it has become. The Wildcats will be one of 16 teams competing in the Middle Atlantic Collegiate Volleyball Club League championships at Haverford College.
