If the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team can survive the first half of its season, the second half should be a breeze."It's looking like we're going to be really young and small. We've got eight nonleague games, all (NCAA) Division III teams, and seven of them are on the road.

Over the past two years, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's basketball team has gone 37-17 and, last season, it captured the Penn State University Athletic Conference championship. But in order for more of the same, it will have to come of age quickly. When the Lady Wildcats open their season at 2 p.m.

The on-campus Powder Puff Football team had the last laugh last year, beating its off-campus opponents 16-14. This year, according to a game recap from Jason Bottorf, intramural/Fitness Center assistant, the off-campus women returned the favor. Amber Geckle handed off to Kim Carbaugh, who sprinted past the on-campus defense and scored the game's first touchdown.

Penn College hosted a "Meet the Wildcats" night from 4-5 p.m. Tuesdayin Bardo Gymnasium. The event was open to all Penn College fans, students, faculty and the media. The Penn College flag football team rallied from four points down with five seconds left to stun its Lycoming College opponents, 19-17, on Monday night. According to a recap from Jeremy Bottorf, intramural/Fitness Center assistant, scoring began when Craig Flint hooked up with Anthony Flint for a touchdown. The attempt for the extra point was intercepted and Lycoming closed the gap to 6-3.

Going into Sunday's conference finals, Bambi Hawkins, Pennsylvania College of Technology women's volleyball coach, was concerned that Penn State Fayette's strength of schedule in the highly competitive Western Division would work to its advantage. In the end, that may have been the difference in the outcome."We took second place behind a very strong PSU-Fayette team," Hawkins said.

Pennsylvania College of Technology freshman Renny Walker wasn't on the field when Sunday's championship match against Penn State Harrisburg began, but, when he walked off it nearly two hours later, he was the most satisfied.

Throughout the season, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's soccer team worked to get back to the Penn State University Athletic Conference championship.
