The Penn State University Athletic Conference announced its all-conference selections for the men's and women's basketball teams Thursday and three Penn College players made the cut.

Freshman Adam Smith (Duncannon) and junior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) made the cut for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic Team for men's and women's basketball. The team is comprised of student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The Penn College Student Athlete Advisory Committee participated in Reading with the Wildcats at Sheridan Elementary School on Thursday. Nine student-athletes and three Athletics Department representatives traveled to the school, part of the Williamsport Area School District, for the annual Read Across America observance.
