Pennsylvania College of Technology's 2012 Penn State University Athletic Conference fall championship teams were recognized during halftime of Sunday's women's basketball game at Bardo Gym. Tyler Myers For the third consecutive week and fourth time this year, Penn College junior wrestler Tyler Myers (Centre Hall) has been named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the period ending Feb.

Through action Sunday, Pennsylvania College of Technology winter sports teams had a combined record of four wins and three losses during the week. Last Monday’s scheduled home basketball games against Penn State Scranton were postponed due to weather until Feb. 10.

Prior to the start of Saturday’s game against Davis College, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team honored its two graduating seniors: Mackenzie Brown and Kierstin Steer.  Both have been major contributors this season, which sees the team right in the middle of the Penn State University Athletic Conference playoff race.

Jamie Steer Freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) was named both the Penn State University Athletic Conference and United States Collegiate Athletic Association’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 27. Steer led the Wildcats in a 2-1 week, averaging 21 points and 12.7 rebounds in the three games with two double-doubles.
