After seven years at the helm of the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team, head coach Enrique Castillo has announced his retirement from the program. “Enrique has done a lot for Penn College soccer,” Director of Athletics Scott Kennell said. “He has achieved so much with the program with conference championships and national tournament berths.

The Penn College Martial Arts Club Team participated in their final karate tournament of the season Saturday at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va.  Jonell A. Murray, Alexander J. Hilton, and Jonathan E. Harris made the long trip and competed well: Hilton placed third in kumite (sparring) in the beginner division and Harris placed third in the intermediate division.

Pennsylvania College of Technology head wrestling coach Schuyler Frey has been honored with the 2013 Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Adult Recognition Award. The award is given to an individual who has made significant contributions to the sport of wrestling in the state.  It is voted upon by members of the 11 areas that comprise the PJW, as well as its executive board.

It will be a busy week for Pennsylvania College of Technology athletes as the softball team starts its season, the wrestling team competes in the small-college nationals and the baseball team is in action in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Softball With a more experienced squad than he had a year ago, Penn College coach Roger Harris has high hopes for this season.
