Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Construction Management Association was named Student Chapter of the Year during the Associated Builders and Contractors Convention, held March 13-15 in Orlando, Florida. Despite some rainy days, progress continues for Baja SAE Williamsport at Penn College’s Heavy Construction Equipment Operations Site. A combination of contractors and members of the Service Technicians & Operators’ Association, have been busy at the Brady Township location, preparing it for the May 16-19 competition.
The Introduction to Corrections (HSJ 215) class at Penn College recently received a real-world glimpse into the corrections system, courtesy of Allyson Davenport, a drug and alcohol treatment specialist II at the State Correctional Institution at Muncy. Specifically, Davenport shared information on the facility's Therapeutic Community.
Although three Pennsylvania College of Technology sports teams’ winning streaks ended over the past week, the women’s tennis team started a new streak and also made program history. Penn College scored a 9-0 nonconference win over Clarks Summit University on Saturday. The victory was its first of the spring season after two wins in the fall.
“Graphic Design 2024” opens April 24 at The Gallery at Penn College and runs through May 3. The annual student portfolio exhibition showcases the work of graduating seniors in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s graphic design major. A reception honoring the students is set for 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 26.
Nine Pennsylvania College of Technology students and one faculty member were recently inducted into Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the first and only international honor society for the computing and information disciplines.
