Faculty members, alumni and students alike attend ShmooCon2015. A sizable Penn College contingent attended ShmooCon, the East Coast "hacker" convention, held Jan. 16-18 at the Washington (D.C.) Hilton. Three faculty members in the School of Industrial, Computing & Engineering Technologies – along with 11 graduates, 18 current students and a former student – were among those attending.

Capping a year of celebration to commemorate the Centennial anniversary of Pennsylvania College of Technology, the institution’s most significant fundraising effort more than doubled its original goal, raising $6.4 million in private scholarship support.

Kendel F. Baier, of Jersey Shore, a senior in the building science and sustainable design: architectural technology concentration, has been chosen as the December/January Student of the Month at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Exemplifying both academics and athletics, Baier maintains a full course load and is a national bowhunter champion on the Penn College archery team.

President Davie Jane Gilmour welcomes employees, retirees, students and community members to the grand finale of the college's Centennial celebration. Afterward, admittedly near-speechless in admiration, she said the documentary reflects a passion for the institution and a responsibility to build upon its legacy.
