For the second consecutive year, more than 50 Pennsylvania College of Technology students proved their computer-aided design prowess by passing a prominent industry certification test. The students successfully completed the Certified SolidWorks Associate exam. SolidWorks is a 3-D modeling, computer-aided software program employed by more than 3 million product designers and engineers worldwide.

An incoming first-year student at Pennsylvania College of Technology has been awarded a $5,000 scholarship administered by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The “Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship,” awarded jointly by the VFW and the national Sport Clips Haircuts chain, was granted to Preston A.

A Life Flight crew – always made up of a pilot, flight registered nurse and paramedic, introduce students to Life Flight operations. A determined group of Pennsylvania College of Technology students enrolled in manufacturing-related majors proved to be among the best in the world at a recent high-powered international competition. The nine-member Penn College contingent produced three top-five showings for individual events and finished 11th overall out of 98 collegiate teams at Baja SAE Rochester.

The School of Sciences, Humanities & Visual Communications' emergency management technology major is the focus of a new video on Penn College's YouTube channel. The four-year degree prepares graduates for careers ranging from disaster planning specialist to public health preparedness coordinator through a comprehensive understanding of the phases of emergency management.
