Over 650 students descended on Capitol Eatery in Dauphin Hall last week to partake in a favorite Penn College campus tradition – Midnight Breakfast. Thanks to the recent Student Government Association Auction, three Penn College students have received Student Leader Legacy Scholarships. The annual SGA Auction raised approximately $3,500, and three students were awarded $1,200 each. Over 70 supporters placed online bids or donated directly to the endowed scholarship fund.

A first for the Lumley Aviation Center and Penn College students – an Aviators Ball was held recently, drawing more than 100 students to the college’s facility at the Williamsport Regional Airport in Montoursville. The semi-formal affair featured music, food, photo ops, activities and connection with fellow students.

A dedicated group from Pennsylvania College of Technology posted a strong showing at the 2024 Toyota Green Grand Prix in Watkins Glen, New York. The contingent – consisting of 10 students from the Penn College Motorsports Association and two faculty members – earned several awards at the recent event, held at the Watkins Glen International race course.

Making connections on campus, in the community and with self care was the focus of the third annual Wildcat Wellness Fair. Held recently on a rainy April day, the popular event provided a refuge in the Bush Campus Center for weather-weary, kindred-craving Penn College students and employees.

The state Department of Education has awarded Pennsylvania College of Technology $39,470 for the project “It’s On Us – A Call to Wildcats,” a comprehensive initiative to offer training and awareness on the prevention of sexual misconduct. The college’s effort is part of the “It’s On Us PA” statewide campaign that invites everyone to play a role in ending sexual assault.

Thirty-eight Penn College students were honored during the Awesome Woman Exemplar Ceremony, held recently in the Thompson Professional Development Center. The women were nominated by student peers, faculty and staff.
