The Susquehanna Valley Corvette Club is steadfast in its support of Pennsylvania College of Technology. The club, formed in 2003, has established two funds at the college over the years: a Susquehanna Valley Corvette Club Scholarship begun in 2014 and the Susquehanna Valley Corvette Club Foundation Endowed Scholarship initiated in 2018.

A foundation promoting manufacturing careers awarded one-third of its recent scholarships to Pennsylvania College of Technology students. A dozen Penn College students were among 36 nationwide who received manufacturing scholarships from Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs. The scholarships, valued between $1,500 and $2,500, are for Fall 2019. “I couldn’t be prouder,” said David R.

Veronica M. Muzic, whose dedicated service as a faculty member and administrator is tightly woven through 50 years of college history, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the age of 82. Muzic joined Williamsport Area Community College as an English instructor in 1968 and was awarded its first “Master Teacher” award in 1982.

A visit from “the world’s most sought after golf trick-shot performer” at the Penn College Foundation’s 33rd Annual Golf Classic provided another record-setting year in scholarship support for Pennsylvania College of Technology students. The June 17 event, featuring Chuck “The Hit Man” Hiter, was the most successful in college history – topping $125,000 in revenue.

A Pennsylvania College of Technology student received one of two 2019 education scholarships from the Pennsylvania Health Information Management Association. Each year, the association awards scholarships to students who demonstrate academic achievement and commitment to the field of health information management in Pennsylvania. Kathleen S.

A Pennsylvania College of Technology student enrolled in the college’s Ford ASSET major and working at a Tioga County dealership has received a $5,000 scholarship from the Pennsylvania Automotive Association. Derek T. Dreps, of Liberty, was presented with a check in the Parkes Automotive Technology Center in late May.

Allan Myers Inc., a heavy civil construction and construction materials company operating throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, will contribute an additional $50,000 annually to a scholarship it established previously at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Preference for the Allan Myers Scholarship is given to full-time Penn College students who are employees/family members of Allan Myers Inc.

Chef Manuel Uribe, sous chef of Chicago’s Terzo Piano and a faculty member in the Jerome J. Drosos School of Culinary Arts at Triton College, headlined Penn College’s 2019 Visiting Chef Series, lending his knowledge and skill as he guided students in preparing a Mediterranean-themed dinner. He was joined by Rachel Erceg, lead pastry chef for Terzo Piano.

The Keystone Region Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club has established a $25,000 endowed scholarship fund to benefit students enrolled in the automotive restoration technology program at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
