A significant grant from the Tamaqua-based John E. Morgan Foundation will allow students from that area to enroll in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s distinctive “degrees that work.” The nonprofit foundation’s $500,000 contribution establishes the John E.

A $5,000 matching grant toward the purchase of a new lumber-drying kiln chamber at Pennsylvania College of Technology has been provided by the Lumber Heritage Region of Pennsylvania Inc. through Community Conservation Partnerships Program funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation.

A member of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Board of Directors and his wife, an alumna of the legal assistant/paralegal studies program, have established a fully endowed scholarship at the college. The Steve and Mary Ann Johnson Scholarship will benefit students who are enrolled full time; have served in the U.S.
