Penn College Announces Donation of Vehicles by FedEx Freight

Amid six trucks that were donated in the past year, FedEx Freight representatives and Penn College faculty gather outside the Schneebeli Earth Science Center to share career advice with diesel technology students.

Five trucks – four Volvos and a Kenworth, all in the 2003-08 model-year range – have been added to the instructional fleet in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s diesel equipment technology program through ongoing support from FedEx Freight.

First National Bank representatives recently delivered a $10,000 gift to Pennsylvania College of Technology to help support its SMART Girls and Penn College NOW programs, innovative offerings that benefit hundreds of high schoolers. SMART Girls is a summer camp on the Penn College campus for girls in grades nine to 11. “SMART” stands for Science and Math Applications in Real-World Technologies.

Stabler Foundation Delivers Additional Scholarship Support

An endowment established in 2015 at Pennsylvania College of Technology with a $530,000 grant from The Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation of Harrisburg is receiving an additional $540,000 in support from the foundation. The $540,000 will support scholarships for students in the Penn College NOW dual-enrollment program who matriculate to Penn College as full-time students.

A leading welding company is augmenting its strong relationship with Pennsylvania College of Technology by entrusting nearly $250,000 worth of equipment to the school. Miller Electric Manufacturing Co. made the two-year equipment loan to benefit approximately 350 welding students at the college.
