The Gene Haas Foundation is donating $30,000 to benefit automated manufacturing and machining students at Pennsylvania College of Technology in the 2022-23 academic year.

A donation from Motor Truck Thermo King has significantly upgraded the technology available to diesel students learning about transport refrigeration at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

FedEx Freight donated a 2014 Kenworth T680 semi-trailer truck to Pennsylvania College of Technology to facilitate hands-on learning in diesel courses. Students will benefit from the donation for regeneration and emissions testing in courses such as Diesel Electronic Fuels: Systems, Operation & Diagnostics; and Vehicle Electronics/Diagnostic Procedures. Cultural enrichment offered by the Community Arts Center to students in nine local school districts will benefit from a $5,000 PPL Foundation grant. The funds help to support the 2022-23 Educational Series hosted by the Arts Center.

Funding from the TC Energy Foundation will facilitate orbital welding instruction at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The donation will enhance the welding & metal fabrication curriculum, specifically in the area of orbital welding – an automated, highly efficient process used to securely join tubes, pipes or tube sheeting in pipeline welding.
