Services will be Friday for William E. "Bill" Curry, an alumnus and retired faculty member, who died Monday, Sept. 24, at the age of 86. He was a 1959 Williamsport Technical Institute graduate in service and operation of heavy construction equipment, and earned a Penn College degree in technology studies in 1985.

A discussion of a celebrated World War I novel, dovetailing the next event in Penn College's Technology and Society Colloquia Series, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, in Madigan Library's second-floor reading loft. "Sebastian Barry's meticulously researched 'A Long Long Way' is a work of historical and lyric fiction.
