A paper by a member of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s business administration faculty was accepted for publication in “Selected Papers From the 24th International Conference on College Teaching and Learning.” Gerald D. “Chip” Baumgardner, associate professor of business administration, was among more than 150 faculty presenters at the conference, held in April in Jacksonville, Fla.

David R. Cotner has been appointed dean of the School of Industrial, Computing & Engineering Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, succeeding William E. Mack, who is stepping down for health reasons. Cotner had served as assistant dean of the school since January. Stacey C. Hampton has been named to succeed him in that role.

A commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, for nearly 250 students who have petitioned to graduate from Pennsylvania College of Technology after the college’s summer sessions. The commencement ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. in the Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St., Williamsport. The student speaker for the ceremony will be Katherine P.

David L. Evans, professor of biology (anatomy and physiology) at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been honored with the 2013 President’s Medal by the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society. HAPS promotes excellence in the teaching of human anatomy and physiology and has approximately 1,700 members worldwide.
