Delightfully repurposed from a conference venue to a 1920s-era casino, the Mountain Laurel Room recently hosted the Wildcat Events Board's traditional Snow Ball. Midnight Breakfast – a gastronomical (though unscientific) gauge of student success – was held from 10 p.m.-midnight Thursday in the Keystone Dining Room. The free student meal featured a menu of breakfast sandwiches, bacon, home fries, ice cream, a yogurt bar and beverages.

With confidence to spare and skill beyond his years – not to mention an encouraging fan base – a 6-year-old takes to the controls. Wildcat Class of 2038, perhaps? A SWORD tool chest is stocked with gadgets and gizmos a-plenty ... ... because "vehicle" maintenance is always a priority. Action in the arena A crowd-pleasing event delivers yet again!

Eyes front for trivia from Walt's vault! With pencils poised and thinking caps in high gear, players await the next potential stumper. Maya A. Lawton, an event assistant in the Office of Student Engagement, announces the next question while controlling the slideshow with her computer. Lawton, of Coudersport, is enrolled in the Bachelor of Architecture major.

Among items on the menu were Cider Brined Turkey, Brown Sugar Grilled Peach and Bourbon Glazed Ham, stuffing, and mashed Yukon potatoes. A variety of scrumptious side dishes included Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Cinnamon Butternut Squash, with pecans and cranberries.

About 30 students from four area schools participated in Penn College's 2022 Horticulture Field Day on Friday, hosted at the Schneebeli Earth Science Center by the School of Engineering Technologies and its Diesel Technology & Natural Resources Division.

A lunchtime program Wednesday celebrated Penn College's Land Acknowledgement, including an official History Trail marker newly installed just outside the Bush Campus Center's west entrance. “We acknowledge that the land on which we live, work and learn is the ancestral home of the Six Nations of the Haudenosaunee, Iroquoian-speaking Susquehannocks and the Lenni Lenape (Delaware).

Penn College Counseling Services and the Wellness Education Office are co-sponsoring a local conference site for International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Thompson Professional Development Center’s Mountain Laurel Room.

The Penn College community commended its veterans, active-duty personnel and reservists late last week through a variety of events captured by cross-campus photo contributors.

A full day of exploring sacred geometry was observed on Pennsylvania College of Technology’s campus Thursday with a seven-hour workshop in The Dr. Welch Workshop: A Makerspace followed by an artist talk in The Gallery at Penn College.
