As Penn College mourns the loss of faculty member John J. Messer, who died Jan. 5 after a courageous battle with cancer, the President's Office would like to clarify the intent of this weekend’s event. On Saturday, Jan. 17, a celebration of life fundraiser to benefit brain tumor research at Geisinger Health will be held by John’s family at 3 p.m.

An award-winning poet, author and educator will be the featured speaker as Pennsylvania College of Technology observes Dream Week 2015 (Jan. 17-22), a celebration of the life and values of Martin Luther King Jr. The free lecture by Jason Carney, of Dallas, Texas, a four-time National Poetry Slam finalist and co-founder of the Young DFW Writers, will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan.

President Davie Jane Gilmour welcomes employees, retirees, students and community members to the grand finale of the college's Centennial celebration. Afterward, admittedly near-speechless in admiration, she said the documentary reflects a passion for the institution and a responsibility to build upon its legacy.

"Voices" conference open to Penn College community Penn College faculty/staff and students are invited to attend Voices, a networking and professional development conference hosted annually since 2005 by the Penn State Graduate Women in Science.
