Penn College student Scott D. Hubler, of Coplay, successfully completed the ARCA race at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday. The building automation technology major finished 24th out of 36 racers in the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200. The 76-lap race was nationally televised on FOX Sports 1. The ARCA race was the second for Hubler.

Hubler is scheduled to drive the No. 7 car in the Lucas Oil 200 on Saturday.

The start of the year brings a first for Pennsylvania College of Technology: the selection of twin brothers as Students of the Month. Chosen for the Student Government Association honor are Cody E. Pennsylvania College of Technology has expanded the size and technical capacity of its building automation lab, thanks in part to the support of Honeywell and Ecosave Automation Inc. Both companies donated equipment and supportive software for the lab, which provides invaluable hands-on training for students enrolled in the college’s building automation technology bachelor-degree major.

Schneider Electric has established an endowed scholarship at Pennsylvania College of Technology as part of the Penn College Scholarship Campaign. Hunter S. Forney, of Shippensburg, is the first recipient of an award from the Schneider Electric Scholarship.
