Among the latest additions to the Pennsylvania College of Technology community are new full-time faculty members for the Fall 2019 semester, as provided by the Human Resources Office (all effective Aug. 15).

For the Introduction to Human Services course, the content was standard. For Lynaugh H. Bobst, the class discussion on appropriate family dynamics was personal. For her, the topic generated more than copious notes and highlighted text in a book. It led to an awakening. Bobst didn’t finish the course or any of her other classes that semester. Instead, she left school to begin a journey.

The talents of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s graphic design students have been honored by AIGA Pittsburgh’s Context: Student Design Competition 2019. For its Context competition, the Pittsburgh chapter of AIGA, a national professional association for design, fields four real-world design projects previously completed for clients of Pittsburgh design agencies.

Nine students from Pennsylvania College of Technology’s SkillsUSA team earned medals in six categories – three silvers and three bronzes – during the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, from June 24-29. “The students represented themselves and the college well, and it showed with the number of medals we returned home with,” said SkillsUSA adviser James N.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has appointed Sue A. Kelley dean of the School of Sciences, Humanities & Visual Communications. Kelley, who has more than 20 years’ experience in higher education, comes to Penn College from Lycoming College, where she has been employed since 1999, serving most recently as an associate professor of psychology and department chair.
