The first Wildcat Forum, devised and led by business administration students in an Event Management & Coordination class, brought messages of inspiration to those in attendance at the Klump Academic Center. Five brief talks, provided by alumni and employees, explored “What is Success?” from each speaker’s unique perspective and experience.

Jump right into “Real-World Ready,” the latest episode in Penn College’s Tomorrow Makers podcast series. From jumping out of an airplane to jumping into emergency response, the podcast hosts run the gamut in this lively conversation with Will Schlosser, emergency management and homeland security instructor. Just as fascinating as this unique career field are Will’s background and range of experiences, which have honed his adaptability and flexibility.

WBRE’s “Eyewitness News” team visited Penn College’s culinary arts labs early Wednesday to broadcast live as students prepared for this evening’s Napa Valley dinner in Le Jeune Chef Restaurant. The restaurant, open to the public, is a live-learning lab for students. Additional pieces recorded in the kitchens are set to air on today’s 11 a.m., noon and 5:30 p.m. newscasts.

Tune in to WBRE’s “Eyewitness News Daybreak” Wednesday morning for live broadcasts from Penn College’s Le Jeune Chef Restaurant. WBRE’s Sydney Kostus is set to visit the restaurant, where she will interview culinary arts students live at 5, 5:30, 6 and 6:30 a.m. Recorded segments will also be broadcast on WBRE’s “Eyewitness News” later in the day.

State Education Secretary Khalid N. Mumin visited Pennsylvania College of Technology on Thursday, receiving a tour of the impressive facilities and gaining a firsthand look at the institution’s innovative and effective approach to preparing the next generation of tomorrow makers.

Artwork created by Gerald G. Kaplan, instructor of ceramics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, is on display through April 27 in a national juried exhibition at the Saratoga Clay Arts Center’s Schacht Gallery in Schuylerville, New York.

In the coming weeks, Pennsylvania College of Technology culinary arts students will practice kitchen management skills as they serve a series of dinners featuring American regional cuisine in Le Jeune Chef Restaurant. Served Wednesdays, March 20 to April 24, each week’s menu features signature cuisine from a different corner of the U.S. – from New Orleans’ Cajun and Creole flavors to New England’s famous seafood.

On March 19, a group of Pennsylvania College of Technology students will host the first Wildcat Forum, a series of six-to-eight-minute talks sharing the theme “What is Success?” The event is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium and is open to the community. Three Penn College alumni and two employees are slated to speak.

Pennsylvania College of Technology graphic design alumni captured nine awards in AIGA Baltimore’s 2023 nationwide Flux Student Design Competition. The seven alumni who were honored created their designs during their senior year and graduated in 2023.

An organization promoting sustainable agriculture recently presented a Lifetime Service Award to Chef Michael J. Ditchfield, a 2023 Pennsylvania College of Technology retiree and current part-time instructor. Each year, Pasa Sustainable Agriculture presents Pasabilities Awards to honor farm, community and business leaders who serve as examples for advancing sustainable agriculture through innovation and collaboration.
