Four new programs in dynamic career fields – mechatronics, emergency management, applied technology and magnetic resonance imaging – will soon complement the list of more than 100 academic majors offered at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Jason Hopple answers students' questions. Jason Hopple, who received a degree in hospitality management from Penn College in 2000, returned to speak with students in Introduction to Hospitality courses on Monday. Hopple is beverage director for North End Grill, an American bar and grill in Manhattan.

Students supplement classroom assignments with museum field trip. Thirty-two Penn College students and guests traveled Saturday to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. They were accompanied by Malinda C. Love, assistant director of student activities for diversity and cultural life, and Tom A. Zimmerman, associate professor of psychology (who also provided the photo).

Of growing interest Word of Penn College's hydroculture greenhouse, a collaborative initiative based at the Schneebeli Earth Science Center near Allenwood, is traveling throughout the United States. In addition to the college's own coverage, a recent article by Williamsport Sun-Gazette reporter Joseph Stender was distributed nationally by The Associated Press.

She is showing selected photographs from the Fine Art Photography course in the arts center's Collegetown Gallery, 220 W. Fourth St.

The Hudock Moyer Wealth Resources Scholarship has been established as a building-to-­endowed scholarship fund at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Pennsylvania College of Technology announced the winners for its annual Food Show, a showcase for final projects in advanced culinary arts and baking and pastry arts courses at the college. Taking the Chef Eugene Mattucci Best of Show Award was a two-tier cake decorated by Carrie A. Williams, a baking and pastry arts student from State College.

Penn College's contributions to the 97th annual Pennsylvania Farm Show, satisfying academic curiosity and culinary cravings, are featured in the latest addition to the college's YouTube channel.
