The diverse “degrees that work” offered at Pennsylvania College of Technology, a national leader in applied technology education, will be on display from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the college’s Open House on Saturday, March 28.

Roger D. Jarrett, a successful businessman, community volunteer and alumnus of Pennsylvania College of Technology predecessor institution Williamsport Area Community College, received an Alumni of the Year Award at the 14th annual Education Celebration hosted by the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce.

Caleb G. Schirmer, of Sugarloaf, a technology management major at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been chosen as the February Student of the Month. Schirmer, who earned an associate degree in landscape/horticulture technology: landscape emphasis in 2014, is president of the Off-Campus Housing Organization and secretary of Students Making a Contribution.

Joseph C. Luther A 2002 graduate of Penn College's landscape/nursery technology major, now an instructor at the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology, has been named Pennsylvania's Outstanding New Career and Technical Educator for 2014 by the Pennsylvania Association for Career and Technical Education. A faculty member at the Pleasant Gap institution since 2009, Joseph C.

With Tuesday night's finding that a website wrongly included Penn College on a list of unsafe campuses, President Davie Jane Gilmour has updated the institution's response.
