Student speaker Caitlin M. Forsgren, who completed a degree in physician assistant studies, encourages students to “embrace the discomfort that comes with growth. Take the job that challenges you, move to a new city, pursue the opportunity that seems just out of reach, and trust yourself to take that first step. … And when you’re no longer the one finding your footing, be the person who helps someone else find theirs.”

Distinguished Alumni Award recipient Stephen E. Griegel ’07 addresses graduates with four pieces of wisdom: 1. Never stop learning. 2. Understand what motivates you. 3. Follow your dreams, not someone else’s. 4. Enjoy life outside of work. Griegel started his technology and cybersecurity career with local companies in Sunbury and Pottsville, contributed to national security efforts in Washington, D.C., and today helps companies around the globe solve complex cybersecurity challenges. “When I look back, one thing is clear: Penn College gave me a foundation that opened doors I never could have imagined,” he said.
