The United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced its end-of-year All-American and All-Academic Team award-winners at the 2011 men's and women's soccer national championships this past weekend.Ten members of the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's and women's soccer team made the cut. All-Americans are determined by the USCAA based on athletic performance throughout the season.
Busy, busy, busy. That is the kind of week that Pennsylvania College of Technology sports teams face. Two Wildcat squads women's volleyball and men's cross-country will compete in United States Collegiate Athletic Association national championships, while three others men's and women's basketball and wrestling will begin their seasons.

Askren, a welding and fabrication engineering technology major, scarcely were "boo-ed" by their landlord for Halloween decorations in a West Fourth Street apartment building. Ornamental horticulture students, staff and faculty took an informative field trip to an EP Henry manufacturing plant in Parker Ford and the Hershey Gardens in Hershey on Thursday. Hughesville Cub Scout Pack 80 recently visited Penn College, addressing various topics including conservation, art, the environment, crafts and science as they continue their strides toward becoming Boy Scouts. An ever-charitable Penn Collegecontingent took part in a number of fundraising events on behalf of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. A team of Pennsylvania College of Technology students recently won the 29th Precision Heavy Construction Equipment Rodeo, the third straight year in which overall honors were retained by the host institution. The crowd-pleasing competition, which drew 52 participants from five schools in Pennsylvania and New York, was held Oct. 23 during a collegewide Open House.
