About 20 seniors from Williamsport Area High School who plan to attend Penn College in the fall visited the campus. During their four-hour stop, they visited the Tutoring and Writing Centers, explored how to use the Student Information System, took a campus tour (including Dauphin Hall), ate in the Keystone Dining Room, and learned about the many resources available to them.
Pennsylvania College of Technology, in conjunction with the Penn State University Athletic Conference, has announced the recipients of the Winter/Spring 2012 All-Academic Team award. The award is given to student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or better in the semester of competition. This year, 34 student-athletes made the grade, five more than last year’s class.
High school students in the Penn College NOW program, which allows them to earn college credits in a number of curricular areas, underwent final testing in collision repair Wednesday. Close to 1,300 seventh- to ninth-graders and their chaperones attended Career Day, a semi-annual event presented May 14 by Pennsylvania College of Technology's Outreach for K-12 Office. College faculty and library volunteers offered more than 50 demonstrations, tours and hands-on activities for the visitors, who came from 17 schools in Lycoming and surrounding counties to explore careers.
