Adults age 55 and older who want to learn more about using computers for fun and convenience may enroll in a noncredit course to be offered in October at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus near Wellsboro. This easy beginners’ class, available through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes.

Hundreds of Penn College students reunited with families this past weekend, sharing several days (and nights) of campus activities ... with a healthy dose of "showing off" what they've learned in their new surroundings since last month's start of the fall semester.

The past week was a great one for Pennsylvania College of Technology fall sports teams. Through Sunday, they won nine events and lost just twice, while three of them learned they are ranked among the top 20 in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

Among the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Week activities to encourage Healthy Wildcats was the "Golf Cart Beer Run" on the Thompson Professional Development Center lawn Wednesday and Thursday, a tradition that powerfully replicates the effect alcohol consumption has on driving function.

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology will present the first series in its Operational Leader Program beginning Oct. 18. Operational leaders are responsible for the day-to-day operation of a function within an organization, as well as helping to develop, communicate and implement strategic plans within their specific function.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has again earned Top 10 status among the best public, four-year colleges in the northern region of the United States in the “Best Colleges” 2013 edition rankings published by U.S. News & World Report. Penn College is ranked 10th in the category of Top Public Regional Colleges (North), the same as 2012.

A Williamsport man who established a scholarship at Pennsylvania College of Technology last year recently added to the fund. Ryan A. English presented a check to Penn College to add to the Marcellus Measurement Scholarship Fund, which is growing toward endowment. Once the fund reaches endowment level, it will become a perennial source of scholarship funds.
