The Penn College intramural basketball teams came up short against Lycoming College on Wednesday night. The women's game was won by Lycoming, 48-26. Kat Potocek led Penn College with 9 points; Brittney Wertmen had 8. The Wildcat men lost in an overtime thriller, 48-46. Andrew Eastep led the Penn College team with 17 points; Adam Walker finished with 9.

Pennsylvania College of Technology recently received a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, through the Lycoming County Department of Public Safety, to support its second EMT-Paramedic Camp. The $2,000 grant provides about $1,500 for instructional supplies for the camp, with the remainder slated for publicity and advertising.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's Outreach for K-12 Office received a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education to again offer its Pennsylvania Governor's Institute on Career Education and Work. The institute, which is funded by the $108,000 state grant, is scheduled June 16-20 on Penn College's campus in Williamsport.

The College West Resident Assistants are at it again. Tuesday night, at the apartment complex courtyard, the Residence Life RA staff held an outdoor barbeque event: "Bring Your Own Meat!" The RAs inspired almost 50 residents to come out and enjoy a midsummer picnic/grilling atmosphere in mid-March.

For those who always wanted to learn to type, but haven't had the time or opportunity, the Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna/Tioga Area Agency on Aging is sponsoring a course at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus. This fun class is for seniors, age 60 and older, who would like to use the typewriter or computer keyboard to type personal correspondence with accuracy.

Did you know that 90 percent of all people who are deaf are born to hearing parents? Would you like to learn to communicate using American Sign Language? Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus will help you learn about people who are deaf, their culture and their way of communication. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, from April 8-29.

A newly developed wait-list system, announced byPennsylvania College of Technology's Registrar's Office,allows students to indicate an interest in a class that has reached its scheduled capacity.
