Woodlands Bank recently contributed $10,000 to the Penn College Community Arts Center through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program.
“The Community Arts Center is a cornerstone of our community. For years, it has been a welcoming place for people of all ages to come together to explore, create and celebrate the arts. Woodlands Bank is proud to continue our support of the CAC, helping ensure that our community continues to thrive culturally, creatively, and in growth and opportunity,” shared Joe Farley, vice president, chief financial officer for Woodlands Bank.

This significant funding will directly support the Arts Center’s approved educational programs, ensuring students across the region have access to transformative arts experiences. The EITC program enables eligible businesses in Pennsylvania to receive substantial tax credits (up to 90% for a two-year commitment) for contributions to approved Educational Improvement Organizations (EIOs), such as the Penn College Community Arts Center.
"We are incredibly grateful for Woodlands Bank’s generosity," said Ana Gonzalez-White, development director for the Arts Center. "EITC funding is essential for developing arts and culture throughout our region and allowing us to bring the wonder of live performance and quality arts education to young people who might not otherwise have access.”
Funding for the educational programs is derived from various sources, including EITC funds, individual donations, corporate sponsorships and grants. For more information about giving opportunities, contact Gonzalez-White at 570-327-7657 or by email.
